SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLES UNIVERSITY NETWORK

The Kazakh-German University in Almaty (DKU) is pleased to invite your university to participate in a global initiative aimed at promoting sustainable lifestyles and «green nudges» in universities.

This initiative is being implemented under the framework of the Sustainable Lifestyle Universities Network (SLUN), Business and Technology University (BTU) and the project "Global Opportunities for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Central Asia (GO4SDGs in Central Asia)", supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

The initiative aims to introduce and develop “green nudges” in universities in Central Asia and the South Caucasus. An important part of this work is the book “The Little Book of “Green Nudges” and a program that promotes positive changes in educational institutions.

Your university can contribute to the cross-regional study on "green nudges" by submitting the following materials by September 30, 2024:

1. Fill out an ONLINE SURVEY about the implementation of “Green Nudges” at your university.
2. Describe your best “Green Nudge(s)” at the University by completing the description form An example can be found in the form for each item.
3. Create a short video about Green Nudges at your university. Recommendations for creating the video can be found in the description form for the best Green Nudge.
4. Complete the ONLINE TEMPLATE FORM for describing the green nudge and insert a link to a file-sharing service (e.g., Google Drive) for downloading your video.

We also invite you to participate in the Video Contest by sending a video by September 16, 2024, 24:00 (Almaty time, GMT+5). A detailed description of the competition and a link to register videos are available here (ссылка на новость о конкурсе видео )

The finalist videos will be shown at the annual Sustainable Lifestyle Festival (September 19-20, 2024) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. All contest participants will receive electronic certificates, and the creators of the three best videos submitted to the festival will receive eco-friendly souvenirs and other valuable prizes.
