The Sustainable Lifestyles University Network (SLUN) is the interregional network supports universities in Central Asia and South Caucasus to promote sustainable lifestyles & circularity on campus and beyond in cooperation with the government, civil society, scientific community and private sector.
SLUN was officially established in June 2023 during the first Sustainable Lifestyles Festival in Almaty. Meanwhile the stage for green university’ development has been set since 2022 within the DKU-UNEP project's first phase under GO4SDGs. The key areas were identified needing sustainable interventions, enabling stakeholders to address critical gaps that could impede the realization of sustainable lifestyles and green nudges.
To date SLUN unites 28 universities in Central Asia and Caucasus, creating a platform for exchanging ideas, best practices, and innovative solutions to embed sustainability at the core of university life.
